Olympic School workshop

Today was my monthly workshop with the teachers and staff at Olympic School.  They are such a fun group of ladies and love the projects that I bring for them to share with their students and their families.  Everyone seems so grateful for what I bring and I feel like I have made such good friends in the education community.  I'll be sharing some of the fun projects that they got to do after I finish a few more workshops.  In the meantime, here is another of my Sneak Peek cards.

Whisper White Bakers Twine, Best Year Ever Accessory Pack

The Lotus Blossom will probably be the most popular of the free Saleabration stamp sets.  Since it is free with a minimum purchase of $50, I can't provide a link to the catalog, but you can see it by clicking on the Saleabration catalog on the left hand side of my blog.  That is also true of the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack.  You get three spools of ribbon and three different colors of buttons to match in the Pack.  It matches the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper and the matching Saleabration stamp set.  You will see more of these in the next three months.  Saleabration goes until March 31 so you have plenty of time to get all of your favorites from this catalog.  More to come in the next several days.

Tomorrow is another of my papercrafting days so if you have nothing better to do, come and play with me.  I will be completing another of my Paper Pumpkin kits, doing a few more scrapbook pages for my daughter's wedding album and making one of the two new kits that will be featured in my class in February.  Stay tuned for tomorrow's post.  Hugs, Sherron

Catching up and working out!

It was a nice day as we did a bunch of errands and got back to working out at our local fitness center.  I really appreciate a relaxed day when I don't have to go anywhere or do anything and can just catch up.  It was a day to deliver the last of 2014's orders as I visited with good stamping friends, then we hit the local fitness club to lift weights and walk the treadmill.  We finished up with a wonderful Mexican dinner and margarita at one of our favorite restaurants close by.  Here is another of the fun projects done with the goodies in the new Occasions mini.

I think that Crazy About You is my favorite set in the new catalog as I love all of the sayings that you can put together.  You have a choice of wood mount, clear mount or Photopolymer and I chose the Photopolymer because they are so easy to use and line up.  You will see a lot more of this set in the weeks to come as well as the matching Petal Potpourri stamp set and punch.  So many things to play with, so little time.  Hugs, Sherron

New catalogs and Fuzzy Pebbles

Today was my day to head the hour north to my old stomping grounds for my monthly Fuzzy Pebbles stamp club.  This great group of ladies has been stamping with me for more than nine years and I have made the trek up to Mossyrock ever since we moved to Longview eight years ago.  They loved all of the new catalog projects and we had a wonderful afternoon.  Thanks to Teresa for some great munchies.

On the way home, I stopped at my friend and fellow demonstrator, Jana and she helped me load the new catalogs on my blog so I can update the projects from last week and start showing you all the rest of the fun cards that we have made in the last ten days.  So stay tuned for lots of ideas from both the new Occasions mini and the Saleabration catalog full of awesome free stuff.  Here is another card from my Sneak Peek class last week.

It's a little hard to see, but the diamond is coated with the Crystal Effects which hardens to a glassy finish and I added the Dazzling Diamonds glitter to it while it was wet so the whole thing hardened to a gorgeous diamond finish.  Hope you like it.  This was actually one of my own creations instead of casing it from someone else.  More tomorrow and I am adding the links to the two from last week.  Hugs, Sherron

Earlibird Stamp Club

It was a great group of ladies for my first stamp club workshop of the year.  The laughter kept coming and everyone had such fun with the projects from the new catalogs.  There were flowers and birthdays and treat bags, oh my!  Lila brought lasagna for lunch and everyone else filled in with wonderful veggies, salads and desserts.  So much fun and it was the start of Saleabration.  I'll be posting lots of pics as soon as I can load the new catalogs onto my website tomorrow.  I finished the day with a great care package from my daughter, Lisa who sent me a big batch of cards that she had designed or cased.  Can't wait to get the Sheltering Tree set.  I have seen so many fun cards with that set.  Here is a quick peek at the thirteen cards that she sent.  She has also gotten me hooked on a new line of stamps (not Stampin' Up!).  They are called Uptown Girls from Bella Stamps.  I gave her several for Christmas and had to buy a few for myself.  Can you catch the Bella Stamp in the pics.

Tomorrow, I will start adding all of the projects that I have been making the last two weeks.  I didn't want to get too far ahead of myself as I have to add the links when the catalogs go live tomorrow.  I get to make my monthly trip to Mossyrock tomorrow for my Fuzzy Pebbles Stamp Club so will try to remember to take some photos of those crazy ladies.  Hugs, Sherron

Stampaholics Anonymous

Today was my monthly Stampaholics Anonymous open house.  I knew that it would be a light attendance, but our selected group that we like to make thank yous for had let me know that they were out of thank you cards so I put out five different sets of card stock that were left over from class and workshop projects.  There were some from World Cardmaking day, plus several from my classes this past week so everyone enjoyed making some for themselves and some to donate.  All together we were able to put together 32 cards to be donated.  It was a fun gathering and those that attended loved the grasshopper pie that I put out as part of the refreshments.  It was left over from my Aerubbecisor dinner gathering so all in all it was a good day.  I have lots more projects to share including a very fun treat bag that I made today for my January stamp clubs, but I don't want to get too far ahead of myself since I can't post any links until Tuesday.  Here are the pics from today.  I have six workshops in the next nine days so I will post all of the projects from the new catalogs as I find the time to list them.  In the meantime, have a great start back to work and school after the holidays.  Hugs, Sherron
Connie and Darlene enjoy a piece of grasshopper pie while finishing up their thank yous.
The 32 thank you cards we made to donate to the home and family volunteers at DSHS.

Papercrafting Day and tree down

Yesterday was one of my weekly papercrafting days.  If I am home with no major tasks on a Friday, I schedule a papercrafting day for myself and anyone who wants to come and play.  I have a list of projects to catch up on which includes, but is not limited to Paper Pumpkin kits, other Stampin' Up! kits, Scrapbooks (remember my resolution to complete one a month in 2015), swaps, other kits and projects that I have stockpiled for years.
This week, my goal was to make the December Paper Pumpkin kit that looked like it was so fun.  It turned out to be nine shaker cards and envelopes with all the cardstock and accessories to complete.  My friend, Connie Gray who subscribes to Paper Pumpkin came and completed hers too.  Here are pics of the two of us with our completed cards and a close up of the cards.

Since one of my resolutions is to complete a scrapbook each month, I worked on my daughter's Lisa's wedding album.  I originally had all of the stuff in a magnetic album before we realized how bad that was.  So I pulled all of the pics and mementos out and have had them in a box.  This is my scrapbook this month.  She has been married for 29 years on our 51st anniversary this past week so I decided it was time.  Here are the five pages that I was able to get done.

My good friend and fellow demonstrator, Darlene Almer also came to play.  She is a para-educator so it is a treat to have her available on a weekday as she works fulltime in one of our local schools.  She chose to make one of our fun new kits, the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit which turned out so cute.  I am doing that one for a class in February so I will be making mine in the next couple of weeks.  After she completed her kit, she still had some time on her hands so she decided to make some Snowmen with a tutorial that she had cased.  Do you recognize the snowmen?  Do you want to build a snowman?

Aren't they absolutely adorable.  She did such an awesome job with the Olafs.  So today was a day to catch up, take down our Christmas tree and a lot more decorations.  We are almost done and ready to think about spring.  I know, it is still 2 1/2 months until spring, but I am ready and a new spring catalog helps to get me in the mood for sunshine and flowers even if they are only on paper.  So stay tuned for more sneak peek projects and the new catalogs that go live on Tuesday.  Hugs, Sherron

P.S.  Tomorrow is Stampaholics Anonymous so come and play with me.  We will be making thank yous for the Home and Family unit at DSHS plus sharing more sneak peeks.

Happy New Year!

It has been a very rewarding day as I puttered around the house completing lots of chores and doing a little organizing and casing.  I was going to talk about resolutions yesterday, but I got carried away bringing you up to date with my crazy month so I decided to wait until New Year's Day to talk about resolutions.  Every year, I do make a bunch of resolutions to keep me organized and do manage to complete at least half of them.  Some of them seem to appear on my list every year and I never seem to get to them.  If I really decide that I will never do them, they do eventually get deleted, but for the most part I try to follow through with my list.  This year is a continuation of last year's projects as we are really cleaning out, organizing and getting rid of lots of stuff.  We really have done well in the past two years.  We do a big garage sale in August and I have been cleaning out our huge bonus room in the garage and sorting piles of things for the garage sale.  In addition, I have been selling a lot of my leftover stamps and accessories on eBay so we are gaining ground on the stuff.  In addition, we are sheetrocking the whole garage and bonus room so my goal this year is to compete that project and have a finished place for cars and kids.

All of my extra papercrafting boxes are now in one area of the bonus room and will be completely sorted and used or gotten rid of this year.  There are a ton of historical boxes and those are on my list to organize and sort into chronological genealogy files for future family.  The one thing that never seems to get done is to re-learn my keyboard and practice regularly.  I have promised that I will do that daily as well as visit our new fitness club at least three days a week and finish a quilting project every month.  One more big project is to complete a scrapbook every month.  I have set up weekly papercrafting days at my house on any week that I am home so that I am setting aside a day to work on projects and help my friends with theirs.

I have big plans for this year.  Let's see how I do in my New Year's list.  I'll let you know what happens.

Here is another of the projects from my Sneak Peak class last Saturday.  Since all of these projects are from the two new catalogs that won't go live until next Tuesday, you'll have to wait until then for me to post the actual links to the catalogs.

This card uses the new Colorbox Chalk ink and the Blackboard cardstock. The Big Day set is one of the freebies with minimum purchase for Saleabration.  Because it is free, you have to go to the online catalog to see it.  We can't do a link, but it is a super cool set.  Just click on the catalog to the left and you can see all of the great freebies.  Hugs, Sherron
