Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I am sharing my 70th birthday with my wonderful family.  My birthday always falls in Thanksgiving week, but when it falls on a Thursday, it is always on Thanksgiving.  This year is a special year as it is really the last time that all of us will be together.  My second granddaughter, Kira graduated from the University of Washington a year and a half ago and while she was getting her Psychology and Sociology degrees she traveled to Australia to visit friends that she had met during the Bejing Olympics when she had danced with the Northwest Dance troupe.  She did a semester at the University of Sydney and continued to visit with friends falling in love with an Aussie, Clinton Lough.  Last year he came to visit for his summer break and asked her to marry him.  She said yes.  After spending a year getting her teaching Masters, she immigrated to Australia in June and has been working on a temporary visa.  They are both here for his summer break and we are enjoying all of the preparations for their wedding next July.  All of my children, three daughters and their husbands and my eight grandchildren are spending this Thanksgiving with Kira and Clinton to celebrate the last Thanksgiving that we can expect to have everyone together.  It just happened to fall on my 70th birthday.  What a blessing.  I love my family and can hardly believe that I have had them all with me for the past 51 holiday seasons.  All good things must come to an end.  I foresee some trips to Australia in my future.

Here is the last of the Lunch Bunch cards. This is another one that I cased from some fabulous demonstrator, but I lost the sticky note telling me who.   Hope you have enjoyed these fun projects.  Stay tuned for the Aerubbecisor swaps coming up and the cards that I am doing for my stamp clubs in the next two weeks.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with your family and friends.  If all is going well, my Seahawks are beating the San Francisco 49ers and it is wonderful Thanksgiving Celebration. Hugs Sherron

Another Lunch Bunch card.

Today was such a nice relaxing day.  I spent some time working on the last of my Flower of the Month quilts that I bought at least seven years ago.  I have been working to complete them all and am now on my last quilt.  December is Narcissus and is such a pretty quilt.  When I finish it later this week I will post the picture of it.  I am so excited to be done with all twelve of them and to start on my Christmas projects.  More on that later.

Here is another of the Lunch Bunch cards. This was designed by Dawn Olchefske and is one of the wonderful sets in the little holiday supplement.  It is such a simple pretty card.  It is one of those cards that makes me happy just looking at it.  Here in the great Northwet we love to look at the snow on our spectacular mountains and prefer that is where it stays.

I have just one more to share and then I have to finish my monthly swap so I can share all of those.

Tomorrow I will share the last of the Lunch Bunch cards and start thinking about the swap cards for embossing plus share my Swap of the Month cards that a group of us have been doing for the past 18 years.

Another cased lunch bunch card

We spent a busy day today running errands and doing our twice a month Costco shopping trip.  My husband took me birthday shopping for a pretty garnet ring as he knows how much I love the different rings that I wear to coordinate colors with my clothes.  I had been looking for a red stone or a black one and he found the perfect red.  Then there was a little Christmas shopping thrown in for good measure and we had an early birthday dinner out at Joe's Crab Shack on the Columbia River.  It was a tiring but fun day.

Here is another of the cards from yesterday's lunch bunch class.  This one was cased from Kelly Acheson.  I loved the cherry cobbler and crumb cake combination.  It would make a great Valentine, Anniversary or Wedding card.  It was a favorite for both my customers and downline.

Tomorrow I have to finish my group swap cards so that I can share those with you .  There were some great ones this month.  I'll post another lunch bunch card and a final one on Thursday before we hit the football and food.  Hugs, Sherron

Today is the start of our annual Online Extravaganza with doorbuster deals until 11 PM tonight and lots of wonderful supplies from 20 to 50% off for the next week.  There will be more fantastic doorbusters next Monday.  Check out all of the great bargains on my Stampin' Up! website.  Just click on the presents above.

It was a fun day with my Simply Stampin' Lunch Bunch this afternoon and my Aerubbecisors demonstrator group for dinner tonight.  I had Taco Soup for both groups.  The ladies brought wonderful salads and breads for lunch and I served tossed salad, bread and Turtle Cake for the ladies tonight.  Everyone liked the projects and had fun making them.  I shared the first one yesterday so here is the second one and I'll post the other three in the next several days.  Hope you enjoy them.  Several were cased from other demonstrators, but yesterdays and todays were my own design.  I can't believe I am actually getting creative in my old age.

Ready for Simply Stampin' Lunch Bunch

Yesterday was a great Gifts for the Giving class.  I had so much fun with the ladies who came to play.  The Tile Coaster class was the big hit with several getting into making stars.  There was little time to do the 12 days of Christmas so at least one lady will be back to do them later this week.

I spent today getting caught up on other chores and finishing up the Simply Stampin' Lunch Bunch projects.  Here are some pics of yesterday's event and the first of the Lunch Bunch projects.

It's been lots of fun coming up with my own interpretation of the 12 Days of Christmas song.  I was excited to have Stampin' Up! come out with this stamp set in their holiday supplement.  I've really used a bunch of stuff from this little brochure when I didn't think I really needed anything from it.  Hope you are enjoying my little creations.  Wait until you see the ending days.  I'll show you what's inside some of these on Saturday after my stampers get to make them.  Didn't want to spoil all of the surprises for them  Hugs, Sherron

12 Days of Christmas continued

After two days spent delivering orders and getting ready for my class, there was no way I was up to blogging last night.  I finally got a chance to work on the 12 Days of Christmas and was able to get three more days finished.  Tomorrow I'll finish the last three days and be ready for Saturday.  So here are days 4 through 6.

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me.......four candy canes.

On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me, six herbal tea bags.

It has been fun trying to come up with gifts for the 12 days while keeping it somewhat easy to make for a class.  Obviously, I didn't have access to French Hens, Turtle Doves or a Partridge in a Pear Tree.  And trying to package a bunch of ladies dancing or lords a leaping defies the imagination.  So we will just continue with the simple gifts which sometimes are the best for a little holiday cheer.  Hope you enjoy the remaining 6 gifts which I will show you in the next two days.  Hugs, Sherron

More stars and the 12 days of Christmas

I spent the weekend making lots of stars from the Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit and designing the first of the 12 days of Christmas project for my Gifts for the Giving Class.  There are 26 different stars in the kit and it took several days to make all 26, but they are so pretty.  There are five different colors and patterns with five different stars in each color plus one very big star that dwarfs them all.  The Many Merry Stars Photopolymer stamp set is used for five of the cards plus I decided to use the set for my second day of Christmas so here are pics of a few stars, the set and the first three days of Christmas.

More Gifts for the GIving

Yesterday was the last of my stamp clubs for the month.  The Wild Cards are such a fun group of ladies and we had a couple of family guests to share in the projects.  Debbie brought a wonderful chili and cornbread dinner.  It was good to have her with us since she had been missing in action the last few months.

I started working on the Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit to get ready for the Gifts for the Giving class on November 22.  There are 26 beautiful stars in the kit and I have learned a lot of dos and don'ts for completing the kit.  It is a really fun project and a quick and easy way to decorate for the holidays.  Here is a pic of the ten stars that I have completed so far.  I will get the rest made in the next several days.  Make sure to let me know if you want to do this kit for the class as I have to order it by Monday to make sure it is here in time.

The last project for the class is a series of 12 tags to attach to little gifts to give for the 12 days of Christmas.  These would work with so many different things like candy, nuts, candles, soaps, and other bigger gifts.  The ideas are endless.  Think what a special thing you could create by giving gifts every day for 12 days.  Here are the tags for the first and second day.
Hope you like the fun projects for my class.  I'll take a few pics of the last of my projects for this month's workshops so you can see what you are missing by not belonging to one of my stamp clubs.

Tomorrow is papercrafting at the library so if you have nothing better to do, join me for some creative time between 11 AM and 3 PM.  I will be making the last Paper Pumpkin that I haven't had a chance to put together and am taking a scrapbook to get started on.  Hope you can join me.  Hugs, Sherron

Workshops, the last swaps and getting ready for Gifts for the Giving.

It was a fun and very busy workshop last night with the Impression Obsession Stamp Club.  We had several guests and everyone seemed to enjoy the fun projects for this month.  I did an embossed Ornamental Pine, the tree card that Laura Laures did for our swap this month, a fun Holiday Home card and a choice of a Seasonally Scattered card or box.  I will post pics of the projects after I finish the Aerubbecisor swap cards.  Here are the remaining two cards that I haven't posted yet.

Tomorrow is the last workshop scheduled for this month so I will post the other projects that I have been doing at my workshops in November.  I am madly getting ready for my Gifts for the Giving class on November 22.  If you want to participate in this class you will need to choose the projects that you want to do this month.  Since I have to order or purchase supplies for this class, I need to have a final list of participates and projects by November 15.  Here are the first three projects that you can choose from.
This is the Gratitude for Days Simply Created Kit.  It is wonderful gift to your hostess for Thanksgiving or to bring to a family event this month.  There are 30 different Journal cards in 30 hanging pockets.  Write all of the things that you are grateful for and bring them out year after year to share.  Cost for this project is $25.
This year's Advent calendar is a fun set of boxes to stamp and fill with special treats, toys and games to open each day in December to celebrate the lead up to the birth of the Christ child.  Kids and parents alike will enjoy the fun and creativity of these 25 boxes.  Cost is $10 for the boxes.  You fill with any special candy or surprises for your grandkids or special children in your lives.

This project is a fun set of stamped tiles that make awesome coasters.  Stamp each one of four tiles and color in for a great little gift.  Hold them all together with a fun little belly band.  Works well for a hostess gift, a housewarming gift or a little extra something for co-workers, secret pals or your Christmas gift exchange.  Cost for this set of four coasters with belly band is just $10.

Make sure to sign up for this class by November 15 so I have all of the supplies for your class.  Stay tuned for several more projects in the next couple of days.  Hugs, Sherron

More swaps, bazaars and gifts for the giving class

It has been a very busy weekend as I did a Christmas bazaar at the fairgrounds and had my monthly Stampaholics Anonymous.  Plus I am getting ready for my Gifts for the Giving class in two weeks.  Here are some pics from the bazaar and a peek at the projects for Stampaholics Anonymous plus a couple more swap cards for October's monthly punch swap.

I had lots of gift baskets and all kinds of greetings cards for sale at the bazaar plus there were some fun scrapbooks and a bunch of Paper Pumpkin kits.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the goodies that I was selling.  Sold lots of cards and a few gift baskets, stocking stuffer treats and Paper Pumpkin kits.

Here are two more of the fun swaps for the punches done by my Aerubbecisor downline.

Spent a little time today getting ready for the Gifts for the Giving class on November 22.  Here is the first project that can be made if you are interested.  This is the Gratitude for Days kit that lets you create 30 days of things you are thankful for.  Great to share at Thanksgiving or make for you own home and pull out every year to remind yourself and you family and friends of why you celebrate each year.  There are 30 pockets to include a hand written list of what you are thankful for each day for 30 days.  Easy to make and fun to share.  Cost for this project is $25.

I have it hanging in my dining room window so if you would like to see what it looks like close up, stop by and you can see what I have done with mine.  Stay tuned for more projects this week.  Hugs, Sherron

Swap of the month group plus three more Aerubbecisor swaps

As I've mentioned in the past, I have been participating in a monthly swap with stampers across the country for the past almost 20 years.  I took over the group from another lady who quit stamping (imagine that), and have done the themes for close to 18 years.  Fresh out of ideas, several of the other ladies volunteered to take over the themes as I think, they thought I was coming up with some real doozies.  So October's theme was friend.  I have lots of friend stamps, but I started looking at something a little outside of the box and this is what I came up with.  I've had a lot of comments about it and many didn't even realize that it was a current Stampin' Up! set.

Lots of deliveries

With four workshops in the last week, it was time to pick up the orders that went to Oregon and get everything delivered today.  I had two orders that came here and two that went to Rainier so it was a busy day picking up and delivering.  I got the little thank you notes designed and made for all of the local orders.  On top of that UPS put one of my boxes on the wrong truck so I had to go over to Kelso and pick up the missing order at the UPS delivery office.  So needless to say, I'm really tired but happy that most have their orders.  There are still three to go out but the normal drop off store was closed early so those will have to wait until another day.  Here are some more of the swaps from the Aerubbecisors and my cute little thank you note for this month.

Some Aerubbecisor swaps

Yesterday was a very tiring day as I drove to Mossyrock for my monthly Fuzzy Pebbles stamp club.  They are a very fun group and it was a good workshop, but I fought falling asleep on the way home.  Haven't adjusted to the Standard time change.

Here are several more of the swap cards from my Aerubbecisor downline group, including my swap cards.  I have such talented ladies in my group.
