Anniversary cards

It has been weeks since I've had the time or motivation to blog.  Of course I'd rather be stamping and Holiday preps have taken precedence.  I've made a New Years resolution to blog twice a week in 2016.  I thought I would start this week by sharing some pretty anniversary cards with you.  Today is my husband's and my 52nd anniversary and my daughter, Lisa and her husband's 30th.  We both chose the same set to make our cards.  I love the Timeless Love stamp set.  It is such an elegant font and the flowers accent beautifully.
This was my card that I sent to Lisa And Michael.  It is done in Blushing Bride ink and uses lace and flowers from a retired accessory set.  I loved its softness and hint of love.  I made several in Mint Macaron too.

Here is my husband's card.  Since it snowed all day yesterday, I felt as if I needed to do something in snowflakes.  I had so much of the beautiful Wonderland Specialty designer Series Paper left over and black and white is so masculine, it just lent itself to the card.  The touch of black glimmer paper added sparkle.  The Flurry of Wishes snowflakes added the perfect accent.  Both the designer and glimmer papers are retiring next week so you only have a week to get some if you want them. Thank goodness the Flurry of Wishes bundle is being carried over.  I really love that set.

My daughter's card to us is really unique.  I have to ask her how she made it.  The vellum is beautiful and I'm not sure if she stamped it or it came that way.

Tomorrow is Simply Stampin' lunch Bunch.  I'm posting the five cards on my Stamping with Sherron Facebook page next so check them out.  I'll have more pictures and details about them later this week.  Hope you all have a great New Years.  Ours will be very quiet this year.  Hugs, Sherron.

Still stamping

Today is the last day to register for this month's kit class on October 31.  You have a choice of three different kit, the Tin of Cards, Watercolor Wishes, or Cottage Greetings on pages 152 to 155 in the big catalog. Here are pics of the three kits.

I'll offer this class again in November on the 28th in case you want to make more than just one.

I was madly creating more cards for the upcoming Smart Start Bazaar.  Here is one that I did for Stampaholics a couple of weeks ago.  I finished up all the leftover designer paper and made six more of these using the great Watercolor Thank You, some retired twill tape and the fun candy dots as an accent.  Here is the quick card.

Lastly, I wanted to share the last card that I did with my stamp clubs.  This was one that I cased with a few changes.  I love the Wetlands stamp set, but I find the sayings a little too feminine, so I love this "Happy Birthday" from the Sprinkles on Top set.  The saying with it can apply to your numbers of birthdays or the donuts that are included in the set.  I just love the sponging on this card.  I'm not positive but I think I might have gotten the card from either Julie Davison or Dawn Olchefske, two of my favorite talented artists.
Now I am getting the five projects put together for next week's Simply Stampin'  Lunch Bunch.  I'll share them after the class.  Hugs, Sherron

Getting ready for bazaars

We are heading into bazaar season and I have been busy.  While bazaars aren't really my thing, I do a couple a year just to have the opportunity to winnow down my thousands of cards that I manage to accumulate each year.  As I've been mentioning in the last few days, my good friend and downline demonstrator, Michelle Stumbo and I are going to be at the Smart Start Bazaar on November 21.  We will be teaching card making as a fundraiser as well as selling gift items and cards.  I've been creating a bunch of fun cases using our wood mount stamp cases filled with matching cards and envelopes.  These are the same type that I shared this past August when my hostesses got to make them at there appreciation luncheon.  Here is a pic of a few I've done that are waiting for my husband to put handles on.  They are so fun and a great gift.  I've been making them for my grandkids as they have so little time to make cards with their schedules even though they have all been taught how.

Here are four of the cards I created to go into one of the cases.  Each case contains 10 different cards for all sorts of occasions.  Some are done with current products and some are retired or a mixture of both.  I hope to have bunches of them available at the bazaar.

Here is another card I just made using up some retired designer paper and fun brads.  I'll have these for sale individually at the bazaar.

Here is another of the cards from my October stamp clubs.  I don't usually go for cute but this set was just too fun.  This angel is so sweet that I had to have her and copied this wonderful card designed by Judy May.   There are also an elf and a bundled up child in this Christmas Cuties set along with three sayings.  You'll see the other two in the next couple of weeks.

I'm continuing to sort and create to get through these chilly gray days.  More to come.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Sherron

More stuff used up.

I had my last stamp club last night so now I can share some of the projects that my great ladies got to make this month.  The first one is made with the Reason for the Season bundle on page 31 in the Holiday mini.  I wasn't sure that I even liked this one much less wanted to deal with the punch.  I went ahead and got it after I saw some of the fun things done with it.  Now I love it.  It looks a lot more complicated than it was.  Isn't it so pretty?
I have more ideas for other things that I want to make with it so I'll share more as I get them made.

As I mentioned, I am working to use up lots of the paper and accessories that I have collected for the past twenty years.  Today I made four "star" cards using up some big star brads that I have had for several years.  The set is perfect for this Be the Star card that features Pacific Point cardstock with some retired silver and white designer paper.  It has the tiny silver brads and Metallics Sequin Assortment.

The second card that I made used up some scraps of a very old paper that is perfect for man cards. I used the Wilderness Waits set on page 86 of the big annual catalog and the saying from the Sprinkles on Top set on page 7.  If you would like to see or purchase these cards, come to the Smart Start bazaar on November 21 at the Free Methodist Church on Ocean Beach hiway.  I'll have lots of cards and gift items and you'll have a chance to create your own cards too.

I'm really having fun coming up with simple cards from lots of old craft stuff.  As many of you know I am artistically challenged, but this kind of creating feels so good and is such good therapy for the onset of the dark season.  Hugs, Sherron

Using up lots of stuff!

This is that time of year when I want to stay in bed and hibernate.  The sun is already so low in the sky that we don't see a lot of the sunlight.  The only way that I stay sane is to head upstairs to my craft room and play.  I have way too much paper and accessories that I have collected in the more than twenty years that I have been stamping.  I decided that I don't want to "win" any more so I am concentrating on using up lots of stockpiled goodies.  I keep pulling out old designer papers and lots of accessories and every day I try to make 10 to 20 cards to give away or sell at the bazaars that I do.  Here are two of the latest creations.  The first one uses one of my favorite stamps from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini.  It is so perfect as I ride out each morning on my way to the hot tub sweeping away huge spider webs with gross spiders trying to catch unsuspecting prey.  The designer paper is so old that it was from before we had double sided paper.  I will use this card for my Wild Card stamp club swap tonight.
The second card was designed to use up a few of the green decorative brads from several years back.  I decided to use the Beautiful Bunch stamp set to go with it and add some Magic Mesh from even more years ago as an accent.  The Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry colors went well for the autumn season.  Since I use so many thank you cards, I used my go to stamp set, Another Thank You to complete the card.
I have my last stamp club of the month tonight so I'll be posting pics of their projects to come. Hugs, Sherron

Tin of Cards class

Today was my Tin of Cards class.  This kit has been so popular that it was on backorder for two months.  Everyone had such a great time and got the whole thing done in just a little over three hours.  Here are some pics from the class.
The Tin comes with all the dividers and four different card designs.  You make four of each one putting whatever sayings you like on each.  The stamp set is not included with the kit so I provided that and the stamp pads.  The "CARDS" label was also not included but I thought it just want with the Tin.
These were the four card designs included in the kit.  Everyone made all 16 cards with plenty of room for more in the tin.

Several ladies were not able to make the class so I will be offering it again in October and November along with the Watercolor Wishes kit and the Cottage Greetings kit.  I'll have pictures of those kits in the next few days.
Here is another of the projects from this month's stamp clubs.  This one was my own design.  I love the new Brick Wall embossing folder.  The Hearth and Home window with the Happy Scenes stamp set is so fun to play with.  I expect to see some winter scenes done with this one in the future.  The Holiday mini is so full of great stamp sets and bundles.  Hugs, Sherron

Catching up!

I'm finally catching up after a wonderful whirlwind wedding weekend.  It was another amazing gathering of family and friends.  The groom's family from England were delightful.  We had a big family BBQ at my daughter's home on Friday night, a wonderful wedding day at Sidetrack Distillery/Lazy River Farm and capped off with a big brunch again hosted by the bride's parents.  So fun to share the present opening with bride and groom.  Here are some pics of our fantastic weekend.
My oldest daughter, Lisa with husband Michael, granddaughters Meaghan with new husband Steve and Brooke, the maid of honor.
The groom's family from England.  Don't you just love their Fascinator hats that are so traditional.
My family.  We were missing granddaughter Kira and her new husband, Clinton who love in Australia now and granddaughter, Kelsey attending Grand Canyon University in Arizona for her freshman year.  I have such an awesome family.
Bride, Meaghan with new husband, Steve Baumgartner.

Here is another of my projects for this month's stamp clubs.  I copied it from Pinterest.  The Vintage Leaves bundle is one of my favorites.  The Watercolor Wash large background stamp provides an interesting look that could be clouds.  The Burlap ribbon and Linen Thread give the card such a nice fall earthy feel.

I'm getting ready for my Tin of Cards class on Saturday.  I'll post pictures of the projects and the fun that the ladies have.  Hugs, Sherron

Wedding weekend

It's finally here!  My oldest granddaughter is getting married and we headed north to the Seattle area to enjoy a weekend of celebration with our family.

I wanted to post the last of the Holiday cards.  I realized that I have posted several twice and missed my fireplace card so here it is.
This was my own design.  I love the Festive Fireplace bundle. The kitty on the hearth looks just like my Balinese, Whiskey.

Now to share the first of the projects from this month's stamp clubs.
This card was designed by Dawn Griffith and uses one of my favorite new sets, Awesomely Artistic.  We all love unusual folds and everyone had such fun making this one.  It is really easier than it looks and is a monochromatic card with just Tip Top Taupe ink.

I will share the rest of the projects next week after I share my wonderful wedding pictures.  Hugs, Sherron

More samples.

I finished the last of my four stamp clubs yesterday with two back to back because of the labor day holiday.  I am so blessed with wonderful ladies who love to play with me.  We had a lot of guests join us this month as everyone wanted to see the new Holiday mini.  Here are two more of the Holiday cards from my class and a look at the projects all the ladies got to make this month.
This is my favorite bundle in the new mini.  I love the Jingle All The Way stamp set and the matching Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies.  Don't you just love the snowy scene.  I did a lot of sponging and the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to create the Snow look.  I predict you will see lots more of this bundle in the next couple of months.

The new Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is bundled with the Among the Branches stamp set.  The snowflakes among the trees are from that set.  The "Peace" is from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies which is bundled with the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set.  The "on earth" is from this set.  It is another of my favorites from the catalog.
These are the four projects that my stamp club members got to make this month.  I'll share a closer look at them in days to come.  They were very popular with all of the ladies. I am so grateful that many demonstrators are willing to share their creations with us through their blogs and Pinterest.

This weekend is the last wedding of the summer.  My oldest granddaughter will be marrying her English sweetheart who has worked with her at Camp Sealth on Vashon Island for the past five years.  It will be a country wedding at a blueberry farm distillery with lots of fun events.  I can't wait to share pictures.  Hugs, Sherron

Tin of Cards and more Sneak peeks

I finished making my Tin of Cards today.  It is featured on the cover of our annual catalog and has been so popular that it has been backordered constantly.  It was so easy and fun to make the dividers and 16 cards included in the kit.   I am offering it as a class on the 26th for just $35 which includes the kit and everything to complete it.  It is a perfect gift for yourself or anyone else who wants a variety of cards for every occasion.  I foresee lots of additional cards being made at Stampaholics Anonymous to keep the box full.  Here are pics of the finished project.

I promised more pictures of the projects from my Holiday Sneak Peek so here are two more.
I absolutely love this bundle with the Woodland embossing folder and the Among the Branches stamp set.  It is on page 39 of the Holiday mini.  I used the snowflake from the set and added the Peace from the Christmas Greetings thinlits dies that is part of another bundle with the Holly Jolly Greetings on page 34.  I believe it was one which I found on Pinterest.
This one was my own design. I love the window framelit and the bundle that includes a variety of scenes you can find outside the window.   It is called Happy Scenes and is a bundle with the Hearth and Home thinlits on page 11 of the Holiday mini.  The "wallpaper" is from the Into the Woods designer Series Paper on page 53.  I look forward to creating lots of different scenes with this one.

I have just two more Sneak peeks to share and then I will post the projects that my stamp clubs are doing this month.  Hugs. Sherron.

More Holiday Sneak peek

It's a rainy cool day as usual on Labor Day weekend.  Perfect for catching up on stamping projects and getting ready for the Holiday catalog.  Here are a couple more cards that I actually designed for my Holiday Sneak Peek.
I was thrilled when I saw that there was a new wreath set to match the framelits that came out in last year's Holiday mini.  The framelits came out this year in the annual Idea book along with a spring wreath set.  The new one is called Peaceful Wreath and includes the wreath, the bow, a large Holly branch and four sayings.  It is on page 21.  I used the "Wishing you", " Peace", and " ...at Christmas" on my card.  The set also includes "to the world".  The designer paper is a paper Stack called Merry Moments that matches a regular package of designer paper in our big catalog, but the great thing about this Stack is it has just four of the designs. There are 48 sheets of 6" x 6" doubles Sided sheets with 24 of two designs so there is plenty to make a bunch of Christmas cards. It is on page 27.  I finished off the wreath with the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.
I love this new bundle in the Holiday mini that features eight different decorated trees with a bunch of sayings and decorations for the trees. It is called Peaceful Pines and is on page 16 and 17.  The bundle includes eleven dies that cutout the trees and also decorates them.  It is going to be such a fun set to play with.  I made the frosty hill by freehanding a scrap of Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper.  The snowy sky is done with a new embossing folder called Softly Falling on page 24.  I lightly rubbed the whisper white stamp pad after it was embossed.

I'll have some more of the projects in the next couple of days.  If you haven't received your new Holiday mini, let me know and I will get one to you.   Hugs, Sherron

Papercrafting Day.

It was a fun and productive papercrafting day with stamping friends, Connie and Lila.  Connie and I worked on our August Paper Pumpkin kits. I made the six cards with some extra odds and ends of accessories as well as goodies that came with the kit.  Connie didn't want her boxes so I made hers and mine, too.   Lila caught up on the project she didn't get to finish from last months stamp club.  Here are the pics of the six cards and six boxes that I created.

I promised to share the projects from my Holiday catalog sneak peek.  I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time getting excited for the holidays.  The days are getting shorter and colder, but I'm not done with warm weather, shorts and flip flops.  But here are the first two projects.
This card was cased from Pinterest with a  few changes.  I love the Snow Place stamp set and matching framelits.  The sayings are so fun.  You will see lots more from this set.
If you are looking for a really easy Holiday card for a very reasonable price, this is the best choice.  For just $20.75 you get a beautiful embossing folder with a 17 piece photopolymer set called Berry Merry.  It is very easy to use yet still offers a variety of stamps for many different looks.  I'll share some more ideas plus the other six cards coming up soon.

I haven't loaded the new holiday catalog link on my blog yet.  I have to get some help from my friend, Jana again.  Hopefully soon.  Hugs, Sherron

More projects from Tuesday classes

I have five more projects to share from my Tuesday gatherings.  Here are the two remaining ones that I got from two of the demonstrators who share some of their creations.

This card was shared by Julie Davison as part of her stamp set of the month.  It uses the Watercolor Wings in the big annual catalog.  I've done this fun little pop up many times and just love the surprise when you open it.

This card is a tunnel card by Dawn Olchefske and features the Sheltering Tree.  This is a fun fold card that has been around for at least the last twenty years and is such a cool card that wows people every time they open one.

The other three cards were shared by my wonderful downline.
Michelle brought this very fun card for us to make.  It used the envelope board on the very smallest size and the bow punch.  The green in the background is Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape while the paper for the bow is the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack.  It is just too cute.
Verna brought this great Sheltering Tree window card.  I love the colors.  The swosh in the set is used for the grass and the cloud.
Shanon brought this pretty easel card for us all to make.   It used the Something to Say stamp set and the Pretty Bohemian Designer Series Paper.

I have the most wonderful group of stampers and downline demonstrators.  We have the greatest time together.  Today was my annual Sneak Peek Holiday catalog class. We had so much fun getting ready for the holidays.  I know it is almost four months until Christmas, but the weather turned from blistery hot to cool and rainy overnight, making this class a little more realistic.  I will post the eight projects that I created or cased for this class this coming week.  Stay tuned.  Hugs, Sherron
