Crazy day and two more cards

Yesterday was a very busy day from start to finish.  It started with my wonderful group of Earlibirds at 10 AM for their September workshop postponed from last Monday because of Labor Day.  They had a great time and we had a wonderful potluck lunch brought by everyone.  There was a ton of laughter and comments on the projects.  They headed for home in the afternoon and then it was time to get ready for the next group, the Impression Obsession Wild Women.  Pat brought a wonderful dinner and they did the same cards as the earlier group.  We had a new lady join us and it was just as crazy and fun as the earlier group.  In the middle of it all, my oldest granddaughter and her boyfriend called and asked to camp out at our house overnight since the weather was iffy so they arrived during the workshop and it was so fun to visit and learn what was new with them.  I tumbled into bed at 10:30 and realized I never did get around to blogging so here is yesterday's and today's blog.

With just two more Holiday sneak peek cards to share, I am looking forward to getting some new stamping done and sharing my stamp  set of the month cards next.  Here is the card, I designed with the new Bright and Beautiful stamp set and the Stars Framelits.  Love all of the fun star accessories that are out this year in both the big annual catalog and the new mini.

The last card from the Holiday Sneak Peek is a watercolor and alcohol colored card that features a saying from a cool new hostess set that is not available to order.  The only way you can earn this set is to hostess a $300 workshop between now and October 31and it will be yours.  It has sayings for all of the fall holidays and is a wonderful addition to any craft room.  Let me know if you are interested in earning this set so we can get a date booked before it is too late.  I used the aqua painters to color this set along with some markers.  I filled one aqua painter with rubbing alcohol and picked up the Real Red ink from the pad to color the Cardinal.  The sky was done with an aqua painter filled with water and I picked up the ink from the Soft Sky pad.

I hope you have enjoyed my Holiday cards.  I had so much fun designing them instead of casing them from other demonstrators.  It seems I am actually developing more creativity in recent months although I still enjoy copying so many of the wonderful creations of our talented demonstrators.  Next I will be sharing my stamp set of the month cards.  Check back tomorrow to see what set from the Holiday mini is my favorite.

Oh and don't forget to check out the weekly deals on my Stampin' Up! website.  There were some great ones posted today plus a new Photopolymer set that I have to get.  I'll try to figure out how to post it to my blog tomorrow.  I think I am going to need another update on the how tos of blogging from my bloggin' guru, Jana.
