Stamp Club swap card

Last night was the final stamp club for the month and it was another one of those laugh until you cry nights.  Barb brought her other sister to share in the fun and Dani was on a roll with her southern drawl impersonations.  They enjoyed the cards which featured two of the new holiday stamp sets.  Two of my stamp clubs do group swaps each month so we can share some of our ideas and favorite accessories and stamps.  This year I have promised myself that I am going to use up some of my huge pile of designer paper and ribbon on every swap that I do as well as a stamp set that has not gotten a lot of exposure.  I pulled out a packet of designer ribbon which was how they were sold several years back.  It had five different ribbons in Always Artichoke and Riding Hood Red which has since retired so I used three of the ribbons on my cards.  There was not enough of any one ribbon to use on all of my swap cards.  Then I reached into my drawer of leftover DSP and pulled out several sheets of the black and vanilla typeset paper.  Lastly, I pulled a stamp set off of the shelves and ended up with Too Kind.  Then I put my creative cap on which doesn't function terribly well too often and got to work.  I started with the colors in the ribbons, Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red and Crumb Cake plus Black and ended up with a card that I was pretty happy with.  What do you think?
Here are the supplies that are still available for this card.  You can always substitute Cherry Cobbler or Real Red for the Riding Hood Red and the new Typeset paper for the old one.

Tomorrow is our first month of Papercrafting at the Longview Library so I hope some of you will be there.  I will be making the Frightful Halloween Wreath in the Holiday mini and working on my oldest daughter's wedding memory album.  I'll have some Paper Pumpkin boxes and cards for anyone to make who would like to.  I will also post the two workshop projects that I haven't posted yet.  The fall "For All Things" was featured on my blog in the last several weeks; both the workshop card and the Aerubbecisor swap card.

Don't forget to check out the weekly deals on my Stampin' Up! website.  I am hoping to add a Weekly Deals button to my blog as soon as I figure out how to do it.  Hugs, Sherron
