My swap for tomorrow is one of my favorite techniques that I used on a card for the Holiday Sneak Peek. I have been saving used fabric softener sheets for the past eight months after seeing this technique somewhere. It was perfect on Lovely as a Tree, Stampin' Up!s oldest set, but when I saw the Ornamental Pine in the new Holiday Mini, I knew it would be great on it too. It is so easy to do, but very messy if you manage to get the glue on your fingers like I did. You just stamp your project on white cardstock and then spray it with adhesive spray. I use Super 77 multipurpose adhesive by 3M. As soon as you spray it, you pat a used fabric softener sheet over it. After getting my hands all gooey, I learned to use a small trowel to press it down over the adhesive. Then you pour Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the whole surface and gently tap off the excess. It gives a beautiful sparkling sheen like sun on snow. Love the technique. Here is the finished card. I made an extra 36 of them for tomorrow's swap.
It is a little hard to see the sparkle, but trust me it does sparkle......so much that I was wearing it for the last three days. Here are the supplies you need to create this card.
