Kira's Save the Date cards

My granddaughter, Kira is getting married next July to a guy she met while visiting friends in Australia.  After dancing at the Beijing Olympics, she met some fun people from Australia and decided to visit the following year.  After spending three weeks on the eastern coast, she fell in love with the country and decided to do an exchange program at the  Unuversity of Sydney through her psychology major at the University of Washington.  Oh, and she kinda fell in love with one of the best friends of the friends she visited there.  After two trips there and Clinton visiting her here in Washington twice, he popped the question in December and they have a date set for July 11, 2015.

Kira has now moved to Australia to prepare for a career teaching language arts, but will be  back for the holidays to make final preparations for her wedding.  Before she left in June, we sat down and designed a "Save the Date" card to send out to let everyone to remind them of the date.  With all of the new fun wedding stuff in the big annual catalog, it was fun to play with the "Bouquet Toss" set.  Since I knew that her main color was a coral color called "mandarin", I incorporated our Calypso Coral in both cards that I designed.  The first one I added a light green color, Pistachio Pudding, but she decided to wear navy for her engagement picture so we had to add a little navy to her final card.

Before she left for Australia, we completed 36 cards for her friends there.  So today I finished another 44  and am now waiting for the engagement picture and insert with wedding details.  I love the way the final card turned out with the addition of some gold accents from our Designer Series Paper, Gold Soirée.
