Workshop projects

At our recent convention, I received some wonderful cards in exchange for the cards which I made to swap.  At my hostess luncheons, I offered my wonderful ladies the chance to select some of the projects to make at upcoming workshops and classes.  So I chose two of them for my workshops this month.

The first one was by Kathy Duthie and featured one of our favorite large stamps, Hardwood.  It was stamped with Soft Suede on Sahara Sand for the background and then again with Whisper White craft ink on Sahara Sand with the Deco Labels framelit.  The Watercolor Thank You was stamped over the white ink with Soft Suede ink.  Then the Petite Petals were stamped, colored and punched out for the two corners and the leaves were punched with the Bird Builder punch.  It is such an easy and fun card.

The second card was designed by Mary Hodgman and uses our most popular hostess set from the annual idea book and catalog. It is called Bloom with Hope and has several beautiful flowers plus several great sentiments.  Mary used the popular Honycomb embossing folder on crushed curry and then stamped the large dictionary stamp on very vanilla cardstock.  Our new most popular Work of Art stamp set provided the background for the flower in crushed curry and Bermuda bay as well at the saying on the Decorative label punch. The Bloom with Hope flower is stamped and colored then a duplicate flower is added to add dimension.  It is such a happy card and my stamp club ladies loved the card.
